Interior Decorating
Alongside my artwork, I offer interior decorating advice, drawing on my Fine Art background and my love of colour, texture and composition.
I'm currently furthering my studies in interior decorating, including SketchUp for 3D design and visualisation, while building on my practical experience in creating inviting and individual spaces.
Bantry Bay Project
This three-bedroom home in Bantry Bay, Cape Town, was transformed into a welcoming and practical Airbnb. With compact bedrooms and the owners’ preference for queen-size beds, careful consideration was given to making the most of the available space while maintaining a comfortable sense of flow.
Furniture, finishes, colour and accessories were selected to create a cohesive contemporary interior, with space-saving solutions incorporated where needed. In the bedrooms, nesting tables provided practical bedside surfaces without overwhelming the limited floor space.
Throughout the home, the focus was on maximising space without compromising comfort, functionality or flow, while creating an inviting interior suited to both short and longer stays.
The property also included a self-contained flat designed to function independently from the main house and be available for separate rental. The owners wanted this space to have its own identity, so a warmer, more retro-inspired aesthetic was used to distinguish it from the contemporary interior of the main residence.
